MATERIAL EXPEDITER LEADER

USAJOBS, part of the Department of the Navy, is seeking a MATERIAL EXPEDITER LEADER for the NUCLEAR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. The role involves ensuring timely delivery and accurate processing of materials for production, as well as planning and coordinating material management across various sites.

Responsibilities

You will ensure delivery of material to production and kitting centers in accordance with production work schedules
You will ensure accurate and timely processing of computer transactions for the receipt, inspection, storage, issue, excess and disposal of material via various databases
You will prepare material requisitions for parts and materials required in support of production shop work requirements based on request of shop supervisors and from examination and evaluation of material coordination lists
You will plan, schedule, expedite and coordinate receipt, custody, and issue of all materials within one or more work sites and warehouses and develop warehousing plans to accommodate materials received

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
This is a bargaining unit position
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present
You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
