AVP Finance Admin Manager

MidFirst Bank is seeking an AVP Finance Admin Manager to lead a team of financial analysts. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, conducting peer analysis, and managing special financial projects while fostering a high-performing work environment.

Responsibilities

Work as a team, own responsibilities, pursue excellence, and be customer focused
Prepare a monthly and quarterly schedule for all work to be completed
Assign tasks, financial analysis, and financial reporting to team members and review the work before submission to others
Help monitor progress on critical tasks
Assist with managing special financial and operational projects
Coach, mentor, and train the team of financial analysts to enable career advancement
Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new financial analysts to the group, when needed
Perform all management responsibilities necessary to maintain a pleasant and high-performing work environment
Analyze, prepare, and communicate financial results to executive management
Build, update, maintain, and utilize financial models
Conduct peer financial analysis and research
Support other groups internally, and occasionally external customers, with peer data and analysis
Occasionally, this manager and/or group of financial analysts will be tasked with ad-hoc projects and reporting, some of which may require extended work hours

Required

Minimum education requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better
5+ years of progressive experience, with a focus on financial analysis and financial reporting
Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and building or transforming reporting
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Evidence of strong leadership skills in prior management roles, or if not already managing, demonstrate the ability to lead others effectively
Attention to detail and ability to visually present information clearly
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is critical with on-the-job training available, if needed
Effectively manage time and prioritize projects
Occasionally work extended hours during high workload and/or tight deadline periods
Manage a wide variety of tasks from beginning to end
Having working knowledge of accounting and finance, and an understanding of financial statements, are foundations for this role

Preferred

Management experience is preferred, but not required as on the job training will be available
Experience with financial modeling is beneficial
Previous work experience including internship(s) in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred but not required
