3D Designer

Responsibilities

Design and develop the deployment of control systems for automated machinery, including advanced conveying and assembly systems
Design, program, and debug structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable PLC code for manufacturing applications
Work closely with project teams to ensure successful outcomes, providing support during all phases, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting
Participate in equipment conceptual development, balancing product specifications, process requirements, cost, and lead-time limits
Stay current with and apply relevant industrial machinery standards
Ensure all designs and implementations meet safety and compliance requirements
Work with project teams in optimizing automation systems to maximize OEE performance
Participate in startup and debug efforts to successfully deploy automated systems into production
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including project plans, system designs, and functional specifications
Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, ensuring technical details are clearly conveyed and understood
Generate technical reports and provide regular project updates to stakeholders

Required

Good team and collaboration skills
Experience designing and programming PLCs, especially Rockwell
Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk products
Ability to do electrical designs and design control systems
Some experience with processes such as CIP and other food manufacturing processes
Travel will be required to project sites for client meetings and during project commissioning. Travel is expected to be 30–40%. Everything possible will be tested in our facility to minimize travel
