NEOGOV is seeking a County Social Services Aide 1 for the Wayne County Area Agency on Aging. This role involves providing direct care and support to older adults and individuals with disabilities at the Adult Daily Living Center, ensuring their social, mental, and physical needs are met.

Responsibilities

Provide a variety of services to care for the social, mental, and physical support needs of clientele of the center

Assist with personal care, taking and recording vitals, serving snacks and meals, feeding assistance, planning and providing recreational activities, assisting with ambulation, and generally overseeing participants during their time with us

Become familiar with each individual client, participate in their care planning and treatment goals, and get to know who they are as a person

Graduation from high school; or any equivalent combination of training and experience

You must meet the PA residency requirement

You must be able to perform essential job functions

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
