New Mexico Department of Health is seeking a Records Clerk to provide IPRA compliance and records management support to the Agency. The role involves assisting in records management tasks and responding to inquiries related to records.

Responsibilities
Provides IPRA compliance and records management support to the Agency
Supports the Office of General Counsel by assisting the chief privacy officer and chief records custodian in providing records management support and guidance to Agency staff
Assisting with the assessment, classification, indexing, boxing, relocating, and storing or destroying agency records
May also assist the chief records officer with gathering, reviewing, and redacting potentially responsive records for records requests
Responding to general IPRA and records related inquiries
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
one (1) year of experience in office administration, customer service, records management technique and procedures, basic accounting, and/or business administration
Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one year (1) year may substitute for the required experience
significant experience working as a clerk
familiar with records management laws, regulations and best practices
familiar with the Inspection of Public Records Act and the associated deadlines and exemption requirements
good communicator
highly organized
able to meet deadlines
Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting
must be able to lift 45 lbs
