Health Career Pathway Program Coordinator

The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is a leading urban public research university, and they are seeking a Health Career Pathway Program Coordinator to support the planning and administration of the Health Career Pathway Program. The role involves coordinating program logistics, managing participant engagement, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the program's success.

Higher Education

Responsibilities

Support the planning and facilitation of summer and school-year programs; including programmatic design and curriculum development and delivery
Provides program knowledge and expertise of procedures, technical specifications related to pathway programs
Provides leadership for the development, administration of programs, and responsible for various financial operations of program; advises on budget preparation as required
Provides management reports, analyses, data, and information for administrative purposes; assists with grant reports or related HRSA requirements
Implement evaluation needs to measure reach and impact, as well as identify quality improvement opportunities
Maintain program logistics, including participant recruitment, retention and engagement activities
Work directly with College of Dentistry Office of Student and Diversity Affairs, the UIC Urban Health Program and UIC Office of Business and Financial Services (OBFS) to efficiently process and manage participant stipends
Participate in efforts to establish, manage, and sustain multidisciplinary and multilateral partnerships, including the UIC Urban Health Program Units and attend UHP meetings as necessary
Responsible for the management of resources, determination, and supervision of staff functions; coordinates the recruitment, training and supervision of health professional/undergraduate student workers and volunteers
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree
A minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating and supporting student programs, including program planning, curriculum support, student engagement or pathway programming

Preferred

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Knowledge of UIC and Higher Education
Ability to compile and disseminate diverse information
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent planning and implementation skills, including problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage resources and coordinate across multi-functional areas
Grant funded program experience preferred
Ability to direct multiple projects and tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
