The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a System Performance Engineer to assist in the development and analysis of travel demand models and statewide mobility data analytics. The role involves performing spatial analytics, maintaining performance measures, and supporting interstate planning efforts.

Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

Assists in the development, calibration, validation, and use of multiple travel demand models
Performs statewide mobility data analytics
Analyzes performance measures for the statewide primary and secondary route systems
Performs spatial analytics for both internal and external geographic information system files
Assists in and reviews benefit cost analysis
Provides support for the interstate and interchange planning efforts
Maintains and updates performance measures for the interstate corridor and interchange list
Performs research, documents methodology and assists in preparing technical reports for the System Performance Management unit
Develops and maintains dashboards and visualization applications for various system performance measures
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management
One (1) year of engineering or construction management work experience
An approved acceptable equivalence
A valid motor vehicle operators license
