Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted HR business partner to project management, providing guidance on employee relations, workforce strategy, and organizational development to support project success and business sustainability
Lead and manage project-based employee relations matters with integrity and empathy, applying best-practice solutions that balance business needs with employee advocacy
Coach and advise project leaders on talent management, performance improvement, employee engagement, and cultural alignment with Worley’s ambition to be a global leader in sustainability solutions
Support workforce planning and deployment activities by collaborating with recruitment, compensation, and learning functions to ensure project staffing aligns with business objectives
Identify and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting thorough assessments, collaborating with cross-functional HR partners, and providing practical, people-centered solutions
Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to company policies, labor regulations, and ethical standards, maintaining Worley’s reputation as a straight-talking partner for sustainable transformation
Develop commercial acumen to understand the project’s operational drivers and their intersection with people strategy, contributing to both business performance and employee satisfaction
Lead and support HR initiatives at the project level, including diversity and inclusion, leadership development, talent engagement, and organizational change management
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements, leveraging HR systems and data-driven insights to enhance service delivery and project outcomes
Contribute to a culture of innovation and resilience by managing ambiguity, embracing change, and modeling flexible and solution-oriented behaviors

Required

A university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience gained through progressive HR roles within complex project environments
Extensive experience in employee relations, preferably in the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors, or within other global project-based organizations
Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic, business-aligned HR guidance in dynamic and challenging environments, with a focus on delivering sustainable solutions
Deep understanding of employment law, regulatory compliance, and ethical employment practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical, real-world project settings
Strong leadership capabilities, with the confidence to coach, influence, and support project managers and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
Advanced communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information through proposals, reports, and presentations to diverse stakeholder groups
Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities
Proven success in managing through change, supporting both business transformation and individual transitions with sensitivity and professionalism
Proficiency with HR systems, tools, and data management processes, and the ability to use technology to streamline HR operations and enhance decision-making
