Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe. They are seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support their MIDS Data Center in Memphis, TN, focusing on the operations and maintenance of data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Work with site lead and take direction for daily activities

Performs coordination of associated activities for facilities management and material/equipment handling, must work on-site at a customer data center in Memphis, TN

Communicate with customers, suppliers, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information or fulfill requests/change orders/problem tickets

Complete site audits and report to Hardware Asset Manager

Maintains infrastructure rack and power diagrams and makes reports as needed

May serve as backup

While performing the duties of this job, the resource is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl

The employee may also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more

Building out racks and placing servers and network hardware in racks, connecting cables power and configuring ilo ports for management access

Required

2 years with BS/BA OR 6 years with no degree

Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity

Experience with a data center and installing equipment, IT components

Experience with servers, SAN, cabling, VM a plus

Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Experience with SNOW or other ITSM tools

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance
