Information Technology
Responsibilities
Perform network cable removal as part of data center decommissioning
Run, label, and stage power and networking cables
Execute DBD removal (no scanning required)
Follow established procedures for:
+ Preparing, installing, and performing diagnostics
+ Troubleshooting and replacing hardware
+ Decommissioning equipment under guidance from Data Center Technician Leads
Stage, set up, and perform basic startups/shutdowns for hardware using written instructions and checklists
Conduct physical audits of data center assets
Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance errors
Respond to program error messages and assist in debugging new programs
Operate spreadsheet and other software tools to manage data and generate reports
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
3+ years of data center experience (Hyperscale experience is a plus)
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
Familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
Preferred
Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training
Industry certifications (A+, etc.) are a plus
Experience in Hyperscale Data Centers highly desirable
