Information Technology Technician
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Information Technology Technician to support the Pennsylvania State Police's Bureau of Communication and Information Services. In this role, you will provide technical support for various technologies, assist with equipment coordination, and deliver training on systems related to body-worn cameras and mobile data terminals.

Responsibilities
Provide technical support and guidance to help desk staff and end users experiencing issues with Body-Worn Cameras (BWC), Mobile Video Recorders (MVR), Interview Room Recorders (IRR), Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), and network-related services
Receive and respond to calls from field personnel, assess and diagnose reported issues, and either recommend appropriate solutions or coordinate with service providers to ensure timely resolution or repair
Respond to inquiries from Troop Communications Specialists (TCS), IT technicians, and other section staff, serving as a liaison between TCS and the division to coordinate equipment requests and support for unique operational needs
Assist with coordinating all aspects of BWC, MVR, MDT, IRR, router, and vehicle-related technology, including scheduling, materials, preparation, and logistics
Support training efforts by delivering instruction on these systems, preparing and maintaining training and equipment documentation, and ensuring materials remain current with system updates and changes
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience providing IT support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance
One year of experience providing IT support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance and completion of a one-year apprenticeship in the IT technical support field
One year of experience as an IT Help Desk Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
An associate degree in an IT field
An equivalent combination of experience and training
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
Possession of a valid driver's license
Obtain an active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job
Meet the PA residency requirement
Be able to perform essential job functions
Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
