Information Technology
Responsibilities
Monitors enterprise networks to ensure availability to all users
Coordinate with multiple vendors/departments to procure network-related hardware, software, and services
Investigates and resolves problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues
Evaluates, tests, recommends, and implements specific network solutions
Schedules and coordinates installation and maintenance of standard software/hardware on the network and ensures compatibility of all communications and computer hardware/software
Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems of limited scope and complexity
Alerts more experienced engineers of network failures and assists in performing corrective actions
Employs basic understanding of network administration as it relates to daily business operations
Qualification
Required
MUST HAVE ACTIVE CCNA CERTIFICATION
3-5 years experience with installing/configuring/troubleshooting Cisco Routers and Switches
Experience/Understanding of Cabling - Single Mode Fiber & Cat 6 cables
Experience troubleshooting and supporting firewalls
Typically requires 5-7 years' relevant experience
Minimum: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Working knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, PPP, HDLC, Span-Tree, Multicast, TCP/IPv4, TCP/IPv6, NetBIOS, DHCP, DNS, HSRP, GLBP, SNMP, LAN/MAN/WAN technologies to include, T1, Fast Ethernet, GigE, 10Gb, 40Gb, Fiber Optics, T3, CSU/DSU, MPLS, Optical Carrier technology, SONET, ATM, ISDN
Working knowledge of Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco Firewall (FWSM, ASA), F5 Load Balancers, Proxy Servers, Probe Machines, Network Sniffer, Decode Sniffer Packets, Radius, TACACS+, QOS, VPN, Wireless, Cisco Prime
Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access, and Visio
Excellent written and verbal skills
Must be local to Atlanta and open to working fully onsite
Must be open to weekend on call and onsite (typically once every other month)
Preferred
ticketing experience with ServiceNow
Experience as a level 2 administrator in a NOC or SOC environment with experience in 'break/fix' and issue resolution related to enterprise network connectivity and performance
