Newton Motor Group is a family-owned auto group serving Tennessee since 2008. The Used Vehicle Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing dealer purchased vehicles, as well as assisting main shop technicians and performing new vehicle delivery inspections.

Retail

Responsibilities

Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
Communicates directly with the Service Manager so that can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Keep a great attitude
Keep your area and the customer cars clean
Assist with main shop work overflow
Assist with completing new vehicle prep. (PDI)

Qualification

Required

High School diploma
Technician experience required
Strong teamwork skills
Valid automobile insurance
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
Ability to identify problems efficiently and accurately
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

Preferred

ASE certification preferred
GM training/repair experience preferred
