TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
Caltrans District 3 is responsible for improving lives and communities through transportation. They are seeking a Transportation Engineering Technician to process, issue, and inspect encroachment permits while ensuring compliance with state standards and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
Processing, issuance and inspection of encroachment permits
Serving as the primary contact for developers, private property owners, public agencies, and others interested in obtaining an encroachment permit
Logging in and tracking work performed under approved encroachment permits
Keeping appropriate records documenting work performed to ensure compliance with state standards, accurate billing and history
Providing monthly and annual production reports to the District Permit Engineer
Performing duties necessary to protect the safety and integrity of the highway system
Qualification
Required
Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
