Responsibilities
Travel to assigned territory to perform re-inspections and provide approvals on vehicles that have been appraised by staff, independent appraisers and repair facilities
Assist with managing high volume of claims and team activities due to a CAT (catastrophic) event; Offer technical guidance and present educational training seminars when needed; Participate in auditing and department projects
Responsible for selecting damaged vehicles to be taken to CARS and non-CARS shops to determine if estimates are technically sound
Create estimates/supplements and negotiate price for repairs with facilities
Create and maintain reports regarding production and expenses; Manage vendor relationships
Assist Material Damage management with overseeing supervisory functions during times of vacancies on an as needed basis
Qualification
Required
5-7 years automobile appraisal or related claims experience required
Associate's Degree or 2 years undergraduate coursework preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Preferred
2-3 years managerial experience preferred
