DPP is seeking an Avionics Technician IV for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry in Hagerstown, Maryland. The role involves performing avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies, along with installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics components.

Responsibilities

Perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations
Responsible for moderately complex installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics components
Maintenance of test equipment, tools, and manuals

Qualification

Avionics installationWiring repairSoldering techniquesTechnical schematics interpretationFCC familiarityBasic understanding of spectrometersBackground in AerospaceDefenseMentoring

Required

Must be eligible to earn a SECRET US security clearance
High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required
Must have own tools in good working order
Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings
Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering' and crimping techniques

Preferred

Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL
Ability to mentor and guide subordinates
Basic understanding of spectrometers, oscilloscopes and/or pitot static equipment
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is required
