Responsibilities
Oversee inmate work crews as they undertake routine assignments such as lawn care, snow removal, janitorial duties, and general maintenance
Plan and assign daily inmate schedules
Inspect completed work assignments
Provide instruction in the operation and preventative maintenance of machinery and vehicles
Assist other maintenance staff in the performance of semi-skilled and skilled journey work in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, refrigeration, masonry, steam-fitting, and welding
Inventory materials and tools used to complete work assignments
Submit purchase requests
Exercise care, custody, and control over inmates at all times
Qualification
Required
Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
