Responsibilities
Provides technical support for lab personnel, lab processes, and lab inspection equipment
Provides technical documentation/Metallographic reports to internal and external customers
Interprets contract technical requirements and incorporates into area procedures
Supports a project team, communicating status of any technical or production issue
Supports development and implementation of new or improved inspection techniques
Creates and revises procedures, forms, and submittals
Supports quotes for future work scopes
Maintains and trends relevant manufacturing/inspection data and key product attributes
May be expected to qualify as a Met Lab Examiner
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics is required
Must have experience in understanding, reviewing, and executing contract technical requirements
Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Must have experience providing guidance and written instructions to hourly workforce
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required
Must be highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail in order to successfully multi-task
Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance
Preferred
Experience in the qualification of new process/product or equipment preferred
Experience working within NOGL systems (EtQ, DocQnet, Solumina, Code Compliance, and SmartForms) strongly preferred
