Paid Internship in the Department of Technology

Saint Ignatius High School is currently seeking a Technology Intern to assist with the installation and maintenance of technology equipment in classrooms and offices. This internship provides a meaningful job experience while working flexible hours around college classes, focusing on user support and technology management.

Education

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation and maintenance of all necessary technology equipment in classrooms and offices, including but not limited to, computers (PC and Macintosh), printers, Smartboards, projectors, wireless access points, Apple TVs and other classroom technology
Respond to user requests and helpdesk tickets, troubleshoot problems and train end-users
Install and update software for computer carts and labs, including imaging computers
Learning and assisting with cyber, switch, firewall, router, wireless and server updates
Run some school events, which often are scheduled evenings and weekends
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology or other supervisory personnel

Required

This internship is open to college students enrolled and actively pursuing a 4-year degree
For those attending college, a minimum GPA of 2.5 should be maintained in your academic program during the internship
We also accept students that are part time in school but committed to a degree program
Candidate should possess solid communication skills, be results oriented and mission focused
Must be flexible, and responsive to job demands, including work performed on evenings and weekends
Use of ladders indoor & out and lifting 50lbs. overhead are physical requirements
Self-sufficient and able to operate independently with minimal administrative support
Aptitude for learning new applications and skills a must
Ability to critique own work and outcomes seeking help to resolve problems that require higher skillsets
Punctual, industrious, and professional demeanor
