Lead Accountant - Marketplace

Responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing journal entries
Analyzing accounts
Ensuring the overall accuracy of accounting processes in alignment with generally accepted accounting principles
Overseeing monthly account reconciliations
Partnering with internal teams to optimize and streamline accounting workflows
Leading process mapping initiatives for greater efficiency
Supporting internal and external audit requests
Ensuring sufficient controls and SOX compliance
Providing insights to management through ad hoc analyses and regular reporting
Taking a proactive lead in the Marketplace initiative
Ensuring accurate accounting for inventory with third-party and Amazon warehouses
Reconciling shipments and sales
Executing controls for seller-fulfilled and Amazon-fulfilled programs
Providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to 1-2 associates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
6+ years of accounting experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrated supervisory abilities
Preferred
CPA certification preferred
Experience leading process improvements and implementing systemic controls
Proven ability to innovate and drive change within accounting functions
Strong leadership and team-building abilities
