Responsibilities

Implementing and supporting Councilor Green’s workplan, legislative goals, communications goals, and constituent relations standards
Responding to constituent needs and prioritizing urgent and time-sensitive matters by managing a large volume of emails, phone calls, and scheduling requests
Meeting with constituents in person at City Hall and throughout the district
Meeting with constituents using virtual conferencing and phones
Developing and maintaining constituent relationships and partnerships within the City and in the community
Contributing to the constituent relations workplan for January through June 2025
Coordinating, reviewing, editing, and posting social media and newsletter content
Setting up, preparing for and participating in office events and projects including, but not limited to, public events, communications, outreach, archiving, and vendor coordination
Completing professional development and team building activities
Being an ambassador for the council office and the City by promoting Core Values

Required

Full-time availability to work primarily in City Hall or locations in Portland during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m
Ability to attend some evening/night events and weekend events as needed
Ability to manage a large volume of emails, phone calls, and scheduling requests
Experience in responding to constituent needs and prioritizing urgent and time-sensitive matters
Ability to meet with constituents in person at City Hall and throughout the district
Experience in meeting with constituents using virtual conferencing and phones
Skills in developing and maintaining constituent relationships and partnerships within the City and in the community
Ability to contribute to the constituent relations workplan for January through June 2025
Experience in coordinating, reviewing, editing, and posting social media and newsletter content
Ability to set up, prepare for, and participate in office events and projects including public events, communications, outreach, archiving, and vendor coordination
Willingness to complete professional development and team building activities
Ability to promote Core Values as an ambassador for the council office and the City
