10+ years expW3Global is seeking a Project Manager III - Technology, a senior-level Technical Program Manager responsible for leading large-scale technology initiatives. This role involves collaboration across various teams to ensure the successful delivery of integrated environments including network infrastructure and physical security technologies.

Responsibilities
Manage 15-20 concurrent technology projects, each ranging up to $100M, covering data infrastructure, audiovisual systems, access control, and surveillance
Lead cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, College Project Teams (CPTs), District IT staff, and system integrators
Coordinate and validate Division 27 and Division 28 design documents to ensure proper integration of IT and Facilities systems
Oversee deployment of physical security systems (e.g., Lenel, Milestone, Axis)
Manage audiovisual system implementations across classrooms, lecture halls, auditoriums, and athletic facilities, ensuring ADA compliance and long-term operational support (Extron)
Conduct technical reviews of shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with cost estimators and construction managers
Oversee commissioning, training, turnover, and closeout documentation, ensuring alignment with District standards
Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular status updates to PMO leadership
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience managing large-scale IT and low-voltage construction projects
At least 5 years of experience in higher education or public-sector environments
Proven experience managing consultants, engineers, and integrators across multiple delivery models (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Lease-Leaseback)
Strong background in audiovisual and physical security systems from design through commissioning
Working knowledge of Division 27 and 28 specifications
Experience with budgeting, scoping, and procurement of network, AV, and security systems
Proficiency with BIM/Revit, Bluebeam, and construction coordination tools
Experience coordinating with contractors and end users during active construction environments
Preferred
Registered Communication Cabling Designer (RCDD) certification
Project Management certification
Industry certifications such as CTS, CCIE, or ASIS
Experience with Design-Build projects in California Community College Facilities
Familiarity with public-sector bidding and contracting processes
Experience deploying cloud-based IT and facilities systems
Knowledge of TIA/EIA industry standards
Experience integrating audiovisual, physical security, and high-speed data networks in construction environments
Experience with air-blown fiber solutions and enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco, Aruba)
