OVA.Work is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer – Observability & API Testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of APIs, microservices, and monitoring pipelines. The role involves validating application behavior using observability tools like Datadog, along with strong manual and API testing expertise.

Responsibilities

Test REST APIs using Postman / Swagger and validate request–response payloads

Perform manual functional, regression, and integration testing

Validate logs, metrics, traces, and alerts using Datadog

Ensure correct monitoring, dashboards, and alert configurations

Test system behavior during failures (latency, downtime, error spikes)

Verify data flow across services and environments (Dev, QA, Staging)

Collaborate with DevOps and backend teams to identify root causes

Validate deployments and post-release monitoring

Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports

Support UAT and production monitoring validation
