Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert for AV industry safety standards (ISO 8800, 5802, 9001, 26262, SOTIF, etc.)
Develop, maintain, and socialize internal processes, templates, and guidelines for safety documentation, and ensuring internal processes map to industry standards
Train engineering and V&V teams on current interpretations of standards
Work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into actionable development and test artifacts
Ensure traceability from system requirements through to safety case arguments and evidence
Support external certification or regulatory audits as needed
Advise on updates and improvements to align with evolving standards and regulatory expectations
Monitor industry trends and emerging best practices in AV safety

Required

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering discipline or related field, with 5-8+ years of experience in safety-critical domains
Deep knowledge of ISO 26262, SOTIF, and adjacent standards
Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional compliance in a hardware/software product environment
Experience with safety argumentation, safety cases, and V&V integration

Preferred

Experience in the autonomous vehicle space
