HNI Workplace Furnishings is a global family of brands dedicated to enhancing workplace spaces. They are seeking an Architectural Design Intern to join their Architectural Products team in Muscatine, IA during Summer 2026, where the intern will work on design projects that create value for business partners and gain exposure to professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

Work on one or more projects that create value for our business partners

Deliver design solutions by working cross functionally with dealers, designers, product development engineers, and more

Participate in professional development opportunities including Lunch and Learns, training, and skill building workshops

Required

Candidates should be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field

Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp

Portfolio containing examples of design work must be submitted

Minimum 2.8 GPA

Self-starter with high personal motivation and desire to take initiative and ownership

High attention to detail

Strong experience managing projects (school or work related)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Dedicated team-player, strong communication, interpersonal and time-management skills

Preferred

Junior level coursework is preferred

Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience, internships, or involvement in related activities such as tutoring or business fraternities
