Responsibilities
Program and operate Portable Coordinate Measurement Machines (PCMM) using PolyWorks and or other Metrology software
Assist Engineering Team to collect data for design validation using CMM or PCMM
Inspect parts and assemblies to determine their compliance with design specifications
Assist Manufacturing Team validate and certify production fixture
Maintain records of inspection data and reports to facilitate statistical process analysis
Ability to troubleshoot and identify CMM or PCMM related issues as they arise
Calibrate, inspect, and maintain CMM to ensure accuracy and reliability
Troubleshoot and identify CMM-related issues as they arise
Ensure traceability of measurements and maintain compliance with company quality management systems
Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment- automotive or other highly regulated environments
Mechanically inclined
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Willingness to work flexible hours
Willing to Travel
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
6-8 years of experience in PCMM programming skills in PolyWorks, and hands on experience using with Hexagon or Faro metrology tools
5+ years of experience in DCC CMM programming skills in PCDMIS Software, and hands on experience using with Hexagon or Faro metrology tools (Dual Arm CMM is a Plus)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T, ASME Y14.5)
Experience creating and approving first article inspections with working knowledge of the tools required for inspection
Ability to identify/recognize inspection errors and nonconformances and initiate corrective action
Ability to identify and recognize inspection errors and non-conformances
Preferred
Experience with Client Blue Light System is a plus
