Sr. Research Assistant (Health Policy & Management -IHSP)

Inside Higher Ed is seeking a Sr. Research Assistant for the MOVED Study at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health's Department of Health Policy & Management. This role involves assisting with operational and technical activities related to the research, including developing data collection tools, overseeing data collection, and analyzing data to make recommendations.

Responsibilities

Develop data collection tools based on understanding of underlying study design
Participate in developing standard operating procedures for one or more studies
Design and set up standard operating procedures
Oversee data collection
Analyze data under general oversight and make data-driven recommendations
Oversee day-to-day activities and provide training for new staff on study
Conduct literature searches to pull background material and identify information relevant and applicable to research interest
Responsible for helping to schedule appointments, make reminder/confirmation calls, and complete survey interviews over the phone

Required

Bachelor's Degree in related field
Two years of related experience
Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula

Preferred

Master's Degree in a related field
Previous experience working within a research setting, preferably with field experience or engaging and recruiting participants
Previous experience engaging participants from diverse backgrounds
An interest and experience in housing, neighborhood factors, and/or food policy preferred
