Responsibilities
Lead and execute security and compliance activities under FISMA/RMF and A&A frameworks
Develop and maintain security artifacts such as SSPs, PIAs, ISAs, CMAs, and audit documentation
Perform architectural security reviews, risk assessments, vulnerability management, and firewall reviews
Serve as primary point of contact for third-party audits and assessments
Oversee vendor and cloud security reviews and compliance activities
Collaborate with agency leadership, business units, and external partners to mitigate risk and mature security posture
Qualification
Required
5+ years of IT experience auditing or securing enterprise environments (Windows, Linux, databases, networks, web apps, IBM zSeries)
Prior experience working within a FISMA-compliant program
Hands-on experience with eGRC tools (e.g., Archer)
Strong working knowledge of FISMA, NIST, CMS MARS-E, and HIPAA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently
Required Certification: One or more security certifications (ISC², ISACA, GIAC, or equivalent)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or 10+ years equivalent experience)
ITIL experience, particularly in Information Security Management
Experience with SIEM, IAM, firewalls, IPS, and cloud security environments
