Responsibilities

Pick, check, pack and ship orders as per QSI procedures QSI-15-02
Prepare Bill of Lading (BOL) and packing slips for shipments
Put away released finished good products; transfers from other warehouse locations as necessary
Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures
Inserts items into cartons using spacers, fillers, and protective padding
Affix shipping labels on packed cartons
Consolidate shipping orders as necessary
Labels identifying information and shipping instructions on products
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
Utilize ERP (QAD-MFG PRO) to make inventory transactions
Assist in cycle counting finished good products
Operate Forklift in a safe and secure manner; transport items between warehouses using forklift and/or company vehicles
Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping systems
Adhere to OSHA and DOT regulations
All other duties as assigned (including but not limited to working in other departments, assignments, etc.)
Run end of day reports to ensure all sales orders are shipped correctly

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operator training certificate to operate forklift
