CATEGORY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER will oversee strategic execution of assigned categories, including negotiation, budgeting, and aligning customer needs with the program.

Responsibilities
Participate in the financial planning and forecasting process
Develop category sourcing strategy and recommendations in conjunction with key business partners
Conduct industry analysis to provide proactive insight to develop a 3-year category strategy
Partner with the Sourcing team to support negotiating and executing preferred supplier contracts
Provide ongoing trend analysis (business performance & drivers) to seize value-creating opportunities & corrective actions
Research current state and future needs, analysis of market trends and potential suppliers, and identification of continuous improvement opportunities
Responsible for development of comprehensive strategy reports
Identify, design & execute cost savings projects within assigned categories
Manage supplier performance - escalation resolution management
Create & deliver presentations with customer & competitive insights, recommendations
Ownership of required internal processes including budgeting, contract attributes, benchmarking, pricing, product recommendations, etc
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in supply chain, category, finance, or related field
Strong negotiations experience
Presentation Experience
Ability to extract insights from complex data sets using advanced excel skills
Ability to influence through direct and indirect teams
Knowledge / Experience of budgets and forecasting
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Travel is up to 5% annually
