They are seeking an Environmental Intern to support their South Central District environmental department with regulatory research and assist in various environmental training and performance review tasks.

Responsibilities

Support the South Central District environmental department with regulatory research

Keep abreast of Federal environmental legislation and regulations and conduct regulatory research

Assist with developing minutes for conference calls and training

Graphing data for environmental performance review(s)

Assist with preparation and presentation of environmental training

Participate in field exercises at projects and conduct vendor reviews

Overall department support and duties as assigned

Required

Pursuing a degree in environmental science or related field in environmental compliance or engineering

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Detail oriented, flexible and highly motivated

Strong work ethic and professional demeanor

Effective time management and organizational skills

Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Team player but able to work independently to meet intense deadlines, goals and objectives

Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed and relocate to a project in Summer 2021

Ability to work 40+ hours a week in the summer

Regular, reliable attendance

Work productively and meet deadlines timely

Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment

Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies

Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required

May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
