Johns Hopkins University is seeking an outstanding individual to become the next Associate Vice President for Planning and Budget within University Finance. This role involves leading the financial planning and budget processes, enhancing fiscal decision-making, and managing the Office of Planning and Budget.

Responsibilities

Lead the effort to enhance and establish new processes, technologies, and strategies that enable fiscal decision-making and sustainability university wide
Provide overall guidance and direction for annual operating and capital budgets and five-year financial plans at the University
Strengthen the quality of financial planning and analysis required to inform University leadership's decision-making regarding allocation of scarce capital and operating resources in support of university priorities
Promote a central planning function that provides a strategic view to the fiscal management of the University and its academic, cultural, and other operating centers
Effectively lead and manage the Office of Planning and Budget including the growing university budget office and capital finance teams
Lead innovative change that will improve the use of the University's resources while maintaining the institution's high degree of responsible stewardship

Required

Exceptional strategic, financial, operational and interpersonal skills
Experience in developing and implementing strategic planning, policies, and programs
Ability to provide overall guidance and direction for annual operating and capital budgets and five-year financial plans
Experience in financial planning and analysis to inform decision-making regarding allocation of resources
Ability to promote a central planning function that provides a strategic view to fiscal management
Experience in leading and managing a budget office and capital finance teams
Ability to lead innovative change to improve resource use while maintaining responsible stewardship
