Project Manager, Lab Operations

Responsibilities
Lead and motivate project teams by fostering a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring they have the resources needed to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
Coordinate internal and third-party resources to ensure successful project execution, including managing timelines, budgets, and scope, and facilitate project delivery accordingly
Develop and implement detailed project plans to track progress, and measure performance using appropriate systems and techniques; ensure internal communications reflect project statuses and new implementations
Implement a change control process to evaluate and approve scope changes, ensuring that they are documented and communicated to all stakeholders
Ensure clear and consistent communication of project updates, scope changes, and risk factors, escalating issues to management as necessary
Regularly monitor and report on the progress of all active projects and provide management with updates on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure issues are addressed promptly
Manage resource allocation, ensuring that project teams are adequately staffed, and that resource availability aligns with project requirements
Work closely with cross-functional leadership on the planning, oversight, and execution of new development projects to ensure the smooth launch of new products, ensuring they integrate effectively
Work with the Quality Manager to support ISO procedures, including the development, documentation, and execution of quality standards
Manage project budgets, focusing on cost reduction and maintaining expenses by ensuring the efficient use of resources and identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures
Lead the closure of projects by ensuring all deliverables are completed, conducting post-project evaluations, and documenting lessons learned; ensure that all project documentation is finalized and stored appropriately for future reference or maintenance
Provide feedback to management, offering recommendations to improve the effectiveness of operational groups

Preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or 2+ years of experience in project management and/or leadership roles
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
Leads by example, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration

Analyzes situations to develop creative and effective solutions, including navigating complex topics with tact and diplomacy

Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, striving for effective time management and continuous improvement in all deliverables
Experience with project management software to plan, track, and manage project timelines, tasks, and resources
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis, reporting, and document management
