Inside Higher Ed is seeking a Sr. Research Assistant for the MOVED Study at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health's Department of Health Policy & Management. The role involves assisting with operational and technical activities for the study, including data collection, analysis, and training new staff.

Responsibilities

Develop data collection tools based on understanding of underlying study design

Participate in developing standard operating procedures for one or more studies

Design and set up standard operating procedures

Oversee data collection

Analyze data under general oversight and make data-driven recommendations

Oversee day-to-day activities and provide training for new staff on study

Conduct literature searches to pull background material and identify information relevant and applicable to research interest

Responsible for independently scheduling appointments and making reminder/confirmation calls

At the time of the appointment, Sr. Research Assistants will complete phone and in-person survey interviews from one adult and one child in the family home

In addition, the data collection will include taking measures of participants height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, and a finger stick for diabetes, at the participants home

Required

Bachelor's Degree in related field

Two years of related experience

Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula
