Nexstar Media Group is seeking an experienced, visionary leader to manage its Connected TV group content efforts. The role involves overseeing app development and programming while leading a team to create nationally relevant programs for Nexstar markets.

Responsibilities

The person will oversee development of the app and programming from a content and audience perspective
Work with corporate tech team on continued app development (adding features, relaying feedback from markets, etc.)
Oversee internal syndication and programming grids
Identify scalable opportunities for audience engagement and revenue potential
Monitor and share best practices about app downloads, programming successes, trends in audience growth, marketing opportunities
Lead a team in the creation of nationally relevant programs for all Nexstar markets
Manages a team of OBS talent

Required

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of content leadership experience
Experience producing newscasts or special project programming for television
Experience building content for a digital audience
Strong editorial judgement and leadership presence
Understanding of multiplatform audiences
Strong communication skills
Must be located in or willing to relocate to a Nexstar market that has a local newsroom with infrastructure and staffing for all day parts
