Talent Market is assisting the Center for American Liberty in finding a Development Officer to enhance their fundraising efforts. The role involves managing a portfolio of donors, cultivating relationships, and ensuring a top-notch donor experience while collaborating with the VP of Development to achieve fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of 100-130 donors and prospects giving at all levels

Asking donors for their annual gift as well as increases and additional gifts for special projects and planned gifts, when appropriate

Collaborating with the VP of Development to craft special asks, develop fundraising plans for your donors, set revenue goals, and execute strategies to reach those goals

Providing top-notch customer service to ensure the best possible experience for donors, including providing them with regular updates on the use and impact of their gifts

Timely and thoroughly logging all donor interactions in DonorPerfect in accordance with the Center for American Liberty’s protocols

Required

At least two to five years of experience as a gift officer with a demonstrated track record of closing major gifts

Ability to develop a deep and detailed knowledge of each assigned donor and design an individualized plan of action for each donor

Ability to handle all donor interactions with the highest level of honesty, integrity, discretion, and professionalism

A passion for and an ability to accurately articulate the Center for American Liberty's mission, cases, objectives, and initiatives with clarity, enthusiasm, and conviction

Ability and willingness to travel regularly and nationally to visit donors and participate in donor events and team retreats, estimated travel up to 50%

Comfort and proficiency with technology—including Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, and fundraising database software (DonorPerfect experience is a plus)

Ability to work independently without constant direct supervision and without distraction in a home office environment
