The Senior Technical Animator will lead product design efforts, create and validate next-generation hardware solutions, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of robotics and automation.

Responsibilities
Lead product design efforts from concept to execution, creating both physical and virtual prototypes
MoCap data cleanup and processing including skeleton retargeting and FBX export pipelines
VR Performance Optimization and real-time skeleton validation
Design and animate complex mechanical systems with accurate physics and real-world constraints
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineers, researchers, and product managers
Create interactive simulations to test and validate design concepts before physical production
Develop and maintain project schedules in a fast-paced environment
Guide teams through user-centered design processes
Present technical solutions to stakeholders through visual demonstrations
Qualification
Required
Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and 3D modeling software
Knowledge of and proficiency in Mocap tools such as OptiTrack, Motive, Shogun, or Nexus
4+ years of experience with character development, actions, and reactions
Bachelor's degree or above in Animation, Character Animation, Industrial Design Interaction Design, Game Design, Film or related discipline
7+ years of experience in consumer, commercial, or medical product design
Experience with product, manufacturing, and engineering constraints
Programming knowledge in C#, C++, Blueprint, or Python
Experience with Interactive Animation Prototyping for VR environments
Demonstrated experience shipping consumer products
Preferred
Experience in mentoring, leading and coaching
Master's degree in Industrial Design or Animation
Experience with CAD modelling software, such as Solidworks or Rhino
Experience transforming raw thoughts into clear technical documentation and/or direction
Experience establishing animation-to-engineering handoff pipelines and documentation standards
Excellent communication skills: visual, verbal, and written
Experience with VR development and real-time headset use
Ability to solve problems through hands-on prototyping and experimentation
Strong understanding of physics principles and motion dynamics
