Assistant Manager Diagnostic Imaging (Breast Imaging)

The Assistant Manager of Breast Imaging will oversee the management and implementation of clinical services within the Department of Radiology, ensuring competency and staffing levels while supporting the manager in various operational functions.

Responsibilities
Support manager in performance management, scheduling, daily operations, hiring, performance feedback, annual competency evaluations, and other managerial functions
Participates in planning and implementation of departmental objectives and goals, designed to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and commitment to patient care and staff development/retention
Oversees employee schedules, time records/requests, and ensures compliance with both hospital and departmental practices and protocols on a consistent basis
Enhances employee engagement and success within Medical Imaging Department
Understands and contributes to all budgetary goals within the hospital and radiology department; evaluates staffing levels and modifies, when appropriate, all reporting areas on a daily basis
Performs procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines to provide the physicians with the highest quality of diagnostic information. (Reference technologist job description)

Qualification
Required
Associate's degree - or equivalent training acquired via work experience
3-5 years of previous job-related experience
May require on-call, weekend, holiday and emergency coverage as department needs warrant
Specific Degree(s): Radiologic Technology-Mammo
Expected to function as a 'working manager'
Ability to distinguish between types of medical procedures and diagnoses
Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and decision-making skills
Assist in training student technologist rotating through the department
Requires travelling to offsite locations as needed
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program
ARRT (M) licensure
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association only
Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)
EPIC, PAC experience or equivalent
Excel Proficient (intermediate) Testing for proficiency maybe required
Preferred
3-5 years management or lead experience
Bachelor's Degree
UKG scheduling or equivalent
