Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily care and supervision of campers aged 8-12
Encouraging positive relationship building among campers, behavior management, and facilitation of basic programming
Facilitate our outdoor living and outdoor adventure programming tailored for campers aged 12-14
Participating in overnight tent-camping experiences and off-site river tubing/rock climbing trips
Instruct our specialized programming and manage the various activity areas around camp
Providing activity instruction, ensuring participant safety, management of equipment and supplies, program area set-up/break-down, basic curriculum development, and various support tasks around camp
Run all aquatic programming at camp, ensuring participant safety, preparing activity areas, leading program instruction, maintaining equipment/areas, and participating in camper supervision during activities and overnight in cabins
Manage the lifeguard team, ensuring smooth flow of the aquatics activity schedule, completing daily equipment checks, and communicating with upper leadership
Manage the day to day general health and wellbeing of our campers and staff, organizing medical forms, sorting/administering medications, providing minor first aid, and responding to emergency medical situations
Perform administrative, camper/staff management, and support tasks around camp

Required

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older by their work start date
Possess a positive attitude, professionalism, compassion, love for sharing knowledge with children, and the ability to follow directions and work independently
Must enjoy working with children of varying ages in an outdoor setting
Minimum Experience/Education: HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

Prior experience working with children
Prior experience in camp or informal education setting
