Responsibilities

Operational Support in a Control Room environment, monitoring and resolving equipment issues during Clinical Treatment
Completing corrective and preventative maintenance, primarily out of hours
Accurate record keeping, aligned to Medical Device Quality Processes
Providing highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site operation, corrective and preventive maintenance of Proton Therapy (PT) equipment and ancillary devices
Controlling and ensuring that the PT device is performing according to specification
Reporting and documenting, key performance indicator on PT devices
Troubleshooting, corrective and preventive maintenance
Working on highly complex installation system in PT, including CT Scan and Radiology technology devices, directly on the customer site and no daily travelling will be required
Acting as a trainer to the customer personnel on the Product
Working in a small team requiring a minimum of supervision
Expected to maintain a good level of overall system knowledge with the opportunity to specialise in specific technical areas
Preparing detailed records of installation and upgrade work performed into company information systems
Maintaining a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness according to VMS guidelines in order to perform activities under the safest working conditions

Required

Good knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, preferably 2 to 4 years in a regulated service role
Technical experience working with several of the following: Mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems interfacing to Beckhoff and Siemens S7 PLCs (drives, encoders, safety systems)
Vacuum Systems
DC Magnet Power Supplies and Switching up to 1250A
RF High Power Solid State Amplifier (150kW)
Cooling Water and Cryo Systems
Robotics (Kuka KRC4)
Xray Systems
Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills
Willingness to work in a rotating shift pattern and during irregular working hours including nights and occasional weekends
Responsiveness to system and customer needs based in a focussed monitoring control room
Articulate and skilled in effective communication in both written and spoken English
Familiar with business tools such as: SAP, SalesForce Unity, E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred

Preferred experience with Proton Systems, other radiotherapy solutions or similar technologies
Strong interest in new technology and learning new systems – continuous learning curve
Knowledge of networks and networking techniques
Comfortable working at heights and within confined spaces
Capable of lifting 16-20KG in accordance with HSE manual handling at work guidance
Solid understanding of imaging systems
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired
