Software Engineer II - Java & React Developer

Responsibilities
Develop micro-frontends using React, providing intuitive, responsive, and dynamic user interfaces
Develop microservices using Spring Boot, ensuring the application is secure, performant, and scalable
Work with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, RDS Postgres, SQS, and SMS
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers in an Agile scrum environment and implement features
Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to coding standards, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability
Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to meet performance and reliability requirements
Continuously learn and implement best practices for software engineering, micro-frontends, microservices, and cloud-native development
Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Qualification
Required
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience
Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot for building microservices and RESTful APIs
Proficiency in React (JavaScript and/or TypeScript) to build responsive and dynamic user experiences
Hands-on experience with AWS services, like ECS, Fargate, SNS, SQS, RDS Postgres
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment, specifically within an Agile/Scrum environment
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and optimize both frontend and backend components
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and design patterns such as micro frontends
Exposure to cloud technologies
AWS Certification(s) (Associate or above)
