MEA PT Trading Finance Leader

This role is responsible for overseeing finance-related trading activities, ensuring robust financial planning, analysis, and reporting while collaborating with various teams to drive business decisions and improvements.

Responsibilities
Manage all finance activities across the subregional trading scope
Oversee monthly and quarterly closing processes, ensure accuracy in project and sales order creation in coordination with ITO to OTR COE team
Lead backlog reconciliation by ensuring volume and unit accuracy, proper margin recognition in the income statement, and appropriate burning schedules in ERP
Analyze backlog ageing, product mix (local vs. import), and proactively manage bank guarantee issuance and timely closures to maintain accurate debt levels in the GEV balance sheet
Deliver timely actual results reporting to site and regional leadership, leveraging automated central reporting tools
Coordinate quarterly project reviews with the region, ensuring alignment of operational performance metrics
Collaborate with COE and operations teams to deliver insightful analytics and reports that drive business decisions
Promote process simplification and a lean mindset across the organization
Ensure consistency in revenue and billing forecasts in alignment with PT HQ directives
Support dispute resolution processes related to revenue, contribution margin, and billing
Serve as a strategic partner to local/regional operations and finance teams to enable accurate centralized trading forecasts
Act as a key connector across subregional functions and departments
Provide finance guidance to cross-functional teams, supporting knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving
Build strong relationships with leadership, operations, and finance stakeholders to enable seamless execution and alignment
Mentor and support the development of team members within the finance organization
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, initiative, and execution excellence
Lead by example in promoting cross-functional teamwork and strategic thinking
Support the integration and implementation of new processes, including ITO Order Booking and OTR Billing procedures
Identify opportunities for local process improvement and digital transformation
Advocate for automation, efficiency, and simplification across finance operations
Analyze financial performance against KPIs, delivering insights to support business improvements
Play a pivotal role in regional finance reviews and forecasting cycles
Contribute to the strategic direction of the business through financial expertise and scenario planning
Lead the account reconciliation process for the Power Transmission business line
Ensure timely preparation, submission, and review of accounts, with action plans for aged or unreconciled items
Maintain integrity of balance sheet accounts including ECA, CTCs, AR, WIP, and others under operational/non-operational scope
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or equivalent from an accredited university
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or similar roles
In depth knowledge of SAP or similar ERP programs
Strong oral and written English language skills
Being comfortable in hybrid and remote working conditions
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA) or recognized professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent are strongly preferred
Proven expertise in financial analysis, accounting principles, and project management within complex and matrixed organizations
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey financial insights clearly and effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate issues, identify root causes, and drive structured problem-solving
Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional, multicultural, and geographically dispersed teams
High level of adaptability and resilience in managing priorities within dynamic and fast-changing business environments
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities, with a focus on value creation and risk management
