SUPERVISORY ENGINEER
Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) is seeking a SUPERVISORY ENGINEER in the Oceans Technical Department. The role involves overseeing research, development, and implementation of engineering technology to support Navy operational missions and ensuring the adequacy of division efforts and resources.

Responsibilities
You will oversee research, development, test, evaluation, implementation and in-service engineering technology that provides undersea and/or waterfront equipment and infrastructure in support of Navy operational missions and systems
You will continuously assess progress of division efforts towards meeting customer technical requirements
You will assess the adequacy of equipment, instrumentation, laboratory and other facilities, contracts and operating procedures utilized by the division and determine appropriate adjustments
You will assess the technical skills of assigned personnel and determine appropriate training or hiring needed to maintain required skill levels
You will market EXWC Oceans Technical Department products and services to external customers
You will partner with subordinates, other EXWC business/technical departments, the Oceans Technical Department, department Customer Advocate, and leadership to identify Navy needs and requirements, technology advances and marketing opportunities
Qualification
Required
Current registration as a Professional Engineer(PE) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico
At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 to GS-15 grade level or ND-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Performing administrative and supervisory duties
Directing the technical work of engineers
Managing financial resources for various types of funding
Interpreting regulations and policies to execute projects or implement programs
Managing facilities, utilities, or infrastructure projects
Successful completion of a professional engineering degree
The program must lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or include differential and integral calculus and courses in five of the specified areas of engineering science or physics
Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico
Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board
Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the specified courses
Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, provided the applicant has had at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance
