The Instructional Coach plays a critical role in supporting classroom teachers and assistants to enhance instruction in language arts and math, increase student engagement, and improve academic outcomes.

Responsibilities

Deliver pre-service and ongoing professional development for instructional staff
Lead training sessions on PSA’s philosophy, curriculum methods, assessment practices, and behavior management strategies
Identify staff development needs and deliver tailored coaching and professional development
Observe classrooms, providing actionable feedback to ensure adherence to curriculum standards and best practices
Comply with PSA and/or district professional development requirements
Collaborate with PSA leadership and YGSF Talent Acquisition teams on recruiting and hiring staff
Monitor scholar progress and recommend adjustments to instructional practices as needed
Oversee pre- and post-assessments, ensuring at least 80% scholar participation and using data to guide instruction and groupings
Teach a cohort when necessary, ensuring high-quality, differentiated instruction
Collaborate with the Site Leadership Team to maintain a safe and productive program environment

Required
