Assistant Corporate Controller
ICAT Logistics is a rapidly growing private equity owned transportation and logistics company. The Assistant Corporate Controller will lead and manage the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all accounting processes while supervising staff and collaborating closely with senior management on financial reporting, audits, and compliance.

Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements including variance analysis
Collaborate with subsidiary teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining consistency across global operations
Maintain the general ledger in Great Plains including all GL accounts, cost centers, account groups, profit centers and allocations
Oversee monthly invoicing and billing processes
Perform special projects and analysis assigned by CFO or Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller
Assist with audits by preparing the required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
Monitor company-wide cash balances on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and investments
Oversee cash flow forecasting, providing accurate short-term and long-term cash flow projections to senior management
Work with the Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller to optimize cash management and funding strategies across global operations
Evaluate and enhance internal financial controls as needed
Lead the development, documentation, and implementation of standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for the accounting department to improve efficiency and consistency in accounting operations
Support corporate compliance with tax filings, including corporate tax returns, state and local taxes, property taxes, transfer pricing, and international tax requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting
Strong experience in establishing standardized accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures
Extensive experience with cash flow forecasting and cash balance monitoring
Proficiency with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) and other ERP systems
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and international accounting standards
Experience working with private equity firms and understanding their reporting requirements and processes
Experience with external auditors, tax advisors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities
Preferred
Experience with ERP implementations is highly desirable
Familiarity with the transportation and logistics industry is a plus
CPA preferred
