Responsibilities
Design and implement high-speed FPGA solutions to accelerate trading system and network infrastructure components
Research and evaluate low-latency techniques and emerging platforms and determine where hardware acceleration provides meaningful advantage
Collaborate with traders, software engineers and infrastructure teams to translate system constraints into measurable engineering requirements
Build and maintain FPGA interfaces to modern server hardware and high-performance networking, using either best-in-class commercial components or in-house designs
Own the development lifecycle end-to-end: design, implementation, verification and delivery
Support vendor engagement as needed, including component evaluation and relationship management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Strong FPGA/ASIC development experience, including design, coding, testing and verification
Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog, plus C/C++ for integration or tooling
Experience with RTL synthesis and writing constraints (timing, area, and other optimisation targets)
Solid verification fundamentals: simulators, self-checking test benches and debugging methodology
Ability to collaborate closely with software engineers to deliver integrated production systems
Preferred
Post-silicon bring-up and debugging experience is a plus
