Responsibilities
Operate and perform maintenance on vacuum systems, vacuum web coating systems, slot die coating systems, slurry mixing systems, and web converting systems
Primary responsibilities include
Operation of vacuum chambers, slot die coating systems, slurry mixing systems, and web converting systems
Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Maintaining inventory levels
Coordinating efforts with members of other departments to deliver test samples
Review results in consultation with team members, coordinate with engineers and technicians to implement process improvements
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
High School Degree or GED required
At least three (3) years' work experience in the following field: web converting, web coating, and/or liquid-solid mixing
Ability to interpret chemical analysis and characterizations of materials and coatings and use that information to formulate process improvements
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to people with varying degrees of technical understanding
Ability to speak and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries and customers
Ability to present information and data to large groups of people
The employee should be able to lift and move 25 pounds and could be called upon to lift or move up to 50 pounds on occasion
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Preferred
Associate's degree in chemistry or related field a plus
Strong mechanical and technical problem solving skills
Experience troubleshooting and fixing mechanical and electrical systems
Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset
