Responsibilities
Data Engineer will gather and manage large, complex datasets
Redesign data marts for scalability and optimization
Implement process improvements (automation, data delivery, infrastructure)
Develop dashboards and executive reports using Tableau or Power BI
As a Data Engineer, you will build and maintain data models in Oracle and AWS
Collaborate with business and analytics teams on data quality and standards
Provide ad hoc reporting and support marketing tests
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline/experience with 4+ years of experience; Or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline/experience with 3+ years
4+ years of professional experience in business intelligence and data analysis
3+ years of SQL experience
3+ years of programming experience
2+ years of hands-on experience in Databricks and GCP
2+ years of experience with any one of visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI
Good understanding of cloud technologies with 1+ years of hands-on experience in AWS and big data distributed ecosystems
Hands-on experience in one of programming languages like SAS/R/Python is a must
Experience with dimensional modeling and improving data reliability and data quality
Experience working with large datasets
Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases
Preferred
Retail energy or gas/power industry experience
Root cause analysis and process improvement skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work with incomplete data and ambiguity
