Social Services Supervisor - Mental Health (Crisis Response Unit)

NEOGOV is seeking a Social Services Supervisor to join Dakota County's Social Services department. Responsibilities

Supervise, lead and support a team of mental health professionals and practitioners, providing guidance, coaching and professional development
Consult, coach, and mentor staff in the performance of assigned duties
Provide clinical supervision and ensure best practice and legal mandates are followed
Develop, revise, implement, and provide oversight to policies and procedures, laws, rules and regulations and ensure alignment with best practice and legal mandates
Develop, implement, and supervise innovative and effective programs and maintain excellence in service
Evaluate and assess program budget needs, determine and collect data needed, and prioritize requests. Generate program and activity reports, statistics, and program evaluations as needed
Inform, present, and promote agency programs and services with various community groups, agencies, or community organizations, and cross system initiatives
Demonstrates a commitment to support cultural diversity County wide, actively supports the County's inclusion, diversity and equity initiatives, and works to address the needs of diverse and underserved communities
Attend, conduct, and participate in unit, department, management, and team meetings
Address problems and complaints and take action to resolve
Work as part of an interdisciplinary supervisory team to implement and integrate programs and services
With the Deputy Director and peer supervisors, establish and actuate program philosophy, goals, and objectives
Provide on-call clinical supervision in collaboration with other supervisors to ensure 24/7/365 clinical supervisor coverage

Master's degree in Social WorkLicensed Mental Health ProfessionalSupervisory experienceLicensed AlcoholDrug CounselorCrisis response experienceCultural competenceMental healthCommunication skillsTeam leadershipProblem-solving skills

Required

Master's degree in Social Work, Social Services/Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Corrections/Criminal Justice, Criminology, Behavioral Science, or related field
Four years professional work in a Social Services agency which must include at least two years of direct service or supervisor-level experience with community-based mental health crisis response or stabilization services
Licensed and qualified as an independent Mental Health Professional under Minn. Stat § 245.462 Subd. 18
Holds a valid independent license as a LICSW, LPCC or LMFT
Valid driver's license

Preferred

Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) under Minn. Statute
Experience supervising (hiring, disciplining, developing) professional level staff
Experience working with children and families
Experience working on a mobile crisis team
