Responsibilities

Join a highly capable team to design industry-leading power electronic conversion units
The Power Electronics Engineer will evaluate and validate the subcomponents for the traction power inverters
Support characterization and test activities under the direction of senior engineers
Design a circuit card for the traction power inverter
Test traction inverters in the lab, dyno, and vehicle
Analyze circuits using Spice, Mathcad, PLECS, and other tools
Debug issues and solve problems when they arise

Required

Minimum BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
Expertise in power electronics circuits and concepts
Knowledge of power electronics topologies
Understanding of the key components: power semiconductors, inductors, transformers, capacitors
Ability to design the schematic and layout of the controller and gate driver circuits for the traction power inverter
Experience in power device characterization, simulation, and testing
Comfortable working with high voltages and currents
Experience using software tools such as Spice, Mathcad, and Matlab

Preferred

MS or advanced degree preferred
7+ years' experience preferred, working with power electronics
